Wrinkles Treatment

  • BOTULINUM TOXIN TYPE A TREATMENT

Botulinum toxin, commonly known as ‘Botox’, has been used in medical treatments for over 4 decades and was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of wrinkles in 1989. Botulinum toxin is used to treat dynamic wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement e.g. frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet.

It is now one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world and works by temporarily blocking the connection between nerves and muscles. This enables muscles to stay relaxed and the overlying skin to smooth out, thus softening any visible wrinkles.

Biorevitalisation is the injection of light hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants under the skin surface to rehydrate, brighten and smooth the skin. When treating wrinkles, small droplets of biorevitalisation liquid are injected into the skin. These droplets gradually diffuse throughout the upper layers of the skin, plumping the creases, delivering nutrients to the cells and improving skin microcirculation. For optimal results, we recommend a course of 2-4 treatments (1 per month).

  • PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is the injection of your own blood plasma, that is rich in platelets and fortified with vitamins and nutrients, into the skin. The injection of PRP stimulates skin repair, therefore tightening and plumping the skin. PRP can be combined with ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, nucleic acids, powerful antioxidants such as glutathione and hyaluronic acid.

Deep wrinkles can be treated using dermal fillers. Dermal filler is a term used to describe a substance that is injected into the dermis of the skin in order to plump the area. Although there are many different types of fillers, the most popular are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, which are naturally produced.

Dermal fillers can have different structures and consistencies that make them more suitable for treatment of different areas. By injecting dermal filler into wrinkles, we can re-build volume that has been lost and achieve a natural smoothness of the skin.

  • LASER SKIN RESURFACING

CO2 laser skin rejuvenation is a powerful treatment that can be used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, reduce laxity and improve skin thickness. The laser targets the superficial and deep layers of the skin to create tiny wounds and stimulate a wound-healing response. As the skin heals, it creates new collagen, elastin and skin hydrators, resulting in smoother, tighter and plumper skin. We normally recommend a course of treatments to address fine lines and wrinkles.

Microneedling RF is a device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency heat energy to smooth and firm the skin. As the small needles enter the skin, the tips of the needles heat up with radiofrequency energy.

This sends controlled heat energy into the upper layers of the skin and stimulates collagen production, thus tightening, firming and smoothing the skin over several months after the treatment. Microneedling RF is safe for any skin type and can be used alongside other treatments such as dermal fillers.
